Evalute the size of your pet and the location where the portrait will hang when determining a size. Both 11x14 and 16x20 will work well for small animals or head studies. Full body portraits, larger animals or more than one pet work better in larger sizes. 'Larger than life' sizes are available, too. Email marty@painturpet.com for details.

Choose your background. Give me an idea of your personal preferences. If you have a certain idea in mind, let me know. If you really dislike certain colors, tell me that, too. What colors are in the room where the portrait will hang? The more I know, the more the portrait on the canvas will match the portrait in your head.

Send three or four photographs of your pet. Your photos will be returned with your order.

Stretched canvas and primed hardboard are available. Both work well and will last a lifetime. Primed hardboard is available for economy and ease of framing. Canvas is a more classic medium.

Allow six to eight weeks for your completed portrait. If you need the art finished for a specific occasion, let me know and I will try to accommodate.
